Why have I never heard of a pre-tax health benefit (ICHRA)?

ICHRA, or individual health reimbursement arrangement, is a newish type of health benefit made possible by federal legislation in 2019 and available one year later. Adoption was slow initially. But that's mainly because the companies who have offered ICHRA plans have focused on customization. That "ICHRA" has a long, complicated name with an acronym that's hard to pronounce hasn't helped.
