How do I add a credit card or bank account for billing?

You can pay your StretchDollar subscription with a credit card or a bank account. Both options pay the same bill. They differ in how fast payments go through and how they are set up.

Billing is handled securely by Stripe, our subscription payment partner.

How to add a payment method

  1. Log in to your StretchDollar Company Portal.
  2. Click Billing in the left navigation.
  3. Click Add Billing Info.
  4. Choose Credit card or Bank account and follow the prompts.

That's it! Your subscription will be billed to the payment method you choose.

Credit card vs. bank account

Credit card Bank account
Setup Enter your card details. Ready right away. Log in to your bank to connect instantly. If your bank isn't listed, you can enter your account and routing numbers and verify with small test deposits.
How fast payments clear Almost instantly Usually a few business days
If a payment fails You'll usually know right away (for example, a declined card). A failed payment, such as insufficient funds, may not show up until a few days later.

Not sure which to pick? A credit card is the quickest option. A bank account is a good fit if your business prefers to pay bills straight from its checking account.

Important: Billing is not the same as Bank Setup

StretchDollar uses two separate payment connections. Each one has a different job.

Billing Bank Setup
What it pays for Your StretchDollar subscription Your employees' premium reimbursements

Payment options Credit card or bank account Business bank account only

Adding a bank account in Billing does not set up reimbursements. To fund employee reimbursements, you also need to connect your business bank account in Bank Setup. See How to add or change a bank account for steps.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch from a card to a bank account later?

Yes. Go to Billing and update your payment details. (See above)

I added my bank in Billing. Why aren't reimbursements working?

Billing only pays your subscription. Reimbursements are funded from the account you connect in Bank Setup. Make sure that's connected and your account verification is complete.

How much is the subscription?
