Do I have to connect my bank? What does Plaid share?
Wondering if you can get your reimbursements another way, or what happens when you connect your bank? Here's what you need to know.
Do I have to connect a bank account?
Yes. StretchDollar pays reimbursements by direct deposit, so a connected bank account is required. We don't send paper checks or offer other payment methods.
What does connecting my bank share?
We use Plaid, a secure service used by many financial apps, to connect your account. StretchDollar uses the connection to confirm your account and get the account and routing numbers needed to deposit your reimbursements.
We only use it to send your reimbursements to you.
Prefer not to log in to your bank through Plaid?
If you don't want to use Plaid, you can connect with your account and routing numbers instead.
We'll send a small test deposit to verify the account. See My bank isn't listed. What do I do? for the steps.
How to connect
- Log in to your StretchDollar portal.
- Click Bank Setup in the left menu.
- Connect your bank by logging in, or use the manual option with your account and routing numbers.
