Granted: Free help with medical bills and insurance questions
StretchDollar members can get expert help reviewing, understanding, and lowering their medical bills through our partner, Granted.
Medical bills can be hard to read, and they often contain mistakes. Granted is a healthcare advocacy service that StretchDollar partners with as part of StretchPerks. Instead of spending hours on the phone with your doctor's office or insurance company, you can hand the problem to Granted's team of healthcare advocates.
What can Granted help with?
Granted's experts can:
- Check your bills for mistakes. They look for errors like duplicate charges, coding mistakes, overcharges, or savings you may have missed.
- Negotiate on your behalf. If a charge looks too high, they can work with your provider to lower what you owe.
- Explain confusing paperwork. This includes medical bills and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements from your insurance company.
- Help with denied claims. If your insurance denied a claim or you got an unexpected charge, Granted can help you figure out the next step.
- Find financial assistance. Many households qualify for discount or assistance programs. Granted can help you find and apply for them.
How much does it cost?
It's free to create an account, connect your insurance, and ask Granted to review a bill. If Granted saves you money, they'll ask for your permission to charge a small fee based on how much you saved, and you'll agree to that fee in advance. If they don't save you money, you don't pay.
How do I get started?
- Create your free Granted account on the web or in the Granted iOS app.
- Connect your health insurance plan.
- Upload a bill, denial letter, or question about your coverage.
- Granted will explain what's going on in plain language and let you know if they find any savings.
