How do I purchase a dental and vision plan?

Purchase a dental or vision plan

The employee can shop and enroll in a qualified dental or vision plan on the open market. (Through the state or federal Marketplace, a private insurance website) These plans must be insurance policies- not discount programs or membership plans.

Pay the Premium Out-of-Pocket

The employee pays the monthly premium for the dental or vision plan themselves.

Please note that ICHRA is a reimbursement, not a prepayment. The employee must pay upfront and is reimbursed after submitting proof.

Submit a Reimbursement Request

To get reimbursed, the employee submits documentation through the StretchDollar site.

Required Documentation

  • A proof coverage (such as a policy or welcome letter)
  • A receipt or invoice showing
    • The premium amount
    • The date of payment
    • The insurer’s name

Received Reimbursement

Once approved, the employee receives tax-free reimbursement for the eligible premium., Reimbursements are typically paid through direct deposit.

Yay, you’re enrolled!
